Let’s Make Sure This Is the Right Fit for You
Not everyone should become a surrogate, and that’s okay! You can be confident that you will never feel pressured, and there is no commitment required to apply!
-
Surrogacy is a meaningful commitment, and it should start from a place of safety, clarity, and real advocacy, and you should NEVER feel pressured!
Before moving forward with us, we make sure every hopeful surrogate meets a few core criteria designed to protect your health, your experience, and the integrity of the journey as a whole!
-
Before moving forward, we start with a few baseline criteria designed to protect your health and set you up for a safe, supported journey! Not everyone will meet these criteria, and that’s okay! These guidelines are here to protect you first, always.
To move forward, you should be able to confirm:
You are between 21 and 43 years old
Your body mass index (BMI) is between 19 and 35
(If you’re unsure, you can check here: https://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/calculate-your-bmi)You have carried and delivered at least one full-term pregnancy without major complications
(Examples that may affect eligibility include blood clots, medicated gestational diabetes, pre-eclampsia, pregnancy-induced hypertension, preterm labor before 30 weeks, or an incompetent cervix)You are currently parenting at least one biological child
You are a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or green card holder
(Green cards must remain valid for at least the next three years)You have a high school diploma or GED
You have an established OB/GYN, or can provide at least five years of gynecological medical records
You’ve had a Pap smear within the last three years with no abnormal results
You have no history of nicotine or drug use during pregnancy
You are currently tobacco-free, including vaping and marijuana, with no exposure to secondhand smoke for at least the past six months
You have no felony criminal history (for yourself or your partner)
You have financial stability
(Compensation should not be relied on as your primary source of income. If your household depends on government assistance beyond state health insurance, surrogacy may not be the right fit)
A Note From Us
Meeting these criteria helps both of us determine if surrogacy is a safe and realistic option for you, and being honest at this stage protects your time, your energy, and your experience. If something isn’t the right fit, it’s always better to know early, and we’ll be upfront with you about that! If you’re unsure how any of this applies to you, we’re always happy to talk it through!
-
If everything above feels like a good fit, you can move forward by completing a short initial application. This helps us understand your experience, your goals, and what kind of support you may need.
Submitting an application doesn’t lock you into anything! It simply opens the door to a conversation with us so you can ask questions, get clarity, and decide what feels right for you.
If it’s not the right fit, we believe you deserve transparency to know why. If it looks like we could be a good fit for each other, we’ll walk through it all together!
We don’t rush women into this process! If it’s not the right fit, we’ll tell you why, because you deserve transparency. Either way, we’ll make sure you’re supported and advocated for every step of the way!
